Continuing its efforts to raise awareness about traditional arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts presents the "Artisan Bus" event. The event concluded its first stops over the past three days (November 3-4-5) in Historic Jeddah, highlighting the artisans and traditional crafts that the Western region is known for. It also introduced and educated visitors about the institute's programs and its offerings.

Visitors experienced a diverse range of activities at the "Artisan Bus," including an introduction to the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, a section dedicated to Saudi coffee-making expertise, and engaging workshops where participants had a holistic experience learning traditional carving techniques on wood carving, gypsum carving, and calligraphy. They created stunning art pieces. The event also featured live demonstrations by prominent craftsmen from the Western region, who engaged in dialogues about traditional arts and crafts in the Crafts Council. The event also featured a children's corner that simplified traditional arts for kids, allowing them to learn about and experience these arts, creating a different perspective on their rich heritage.

Historic Jeddah welcomed more than 2000 visitors during the first stop of the "Artisan Bus." The journey will continue in the coming days, touring various regions of the Kingdom rich in heritage, arts, and traditional crafts. Its next destination will be Abha on November 17-18-19, and it will conclude in Al-Ahsa on December 1-2-3.
