The Roshan Project

Many craft skills are involved in the making of a rushan. A rushan's functionality and craft techniques directly inform its design, not the other way around. The students created many samples and 3D maquettes to achieve the best outcome.
Mangour screen designs began by highlighting compositional ideas, before adding detailed patterns. Gradually, a visual repertoire of designs filled the classroom, and after two rounds of reviews a final design was selected to be constructed.  The Beit Al Mal project showcases the quality of design and practical craft skills that our students have achieved through the programme.
