Decorative Geometric Designs

Historical houses in Jeddah (AlBalad) are distinguished by creative patterns that adorn the interiors and exteriors of the old houses that are rich with wonderful geometric decorations on doors, windows, and even ceilings. These are created with splendid, time-honored building techniques that prove how Traditional arts are deeply rooted in our heritage. 

In this workshop, participants will explore different geometric patterns of geometric designs and decorations, whether on wooden lattices or gypsum, along with their geometric and botanical principles.

 

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

• Draw plant decoration designs using a compass and ruler.

• Deepen their understanding of geometric principles in creating decorative designs.

• Master the harmony between decorations and create an artistic panel.
