Traditional Weaving (Sadu)

Sadu is a unique form of Saudi weaving distinguished by its contrasting and eye-catching colors and harmonious geometric patterns. Sadu has long gained international fame as a key component of Bedouin life. In this course, trainees will learn about how wool, lint, and hair are transformed into yarns that create Sadu. The trainee will also learn to use the main tool for spinning, the loom, and acquire the skills necessary to produce a bespoke piece of Sadu.
