Recognizing the vital role of traditional arts in embodying our authentic identity and rich culture, Saudi traditional arts are showcased at local and international events. They bridge the past and present, leaving a lasting impact, and aiming to raise awareness and promote traditional arts and crafts in the Kingdom.

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts – WRTH participated during this year's Hajj season of 1445 AH on ongoing efforts to promote Saudi traditional arts locally and internationally. It was also part of the Kingdom's continuous efforts to serve the guests of Al Rahman. Upon their arrival, pilgrims are greeted with Saudi cultural prayer rugs that reflect traditional Saudi art patterns, accompanying them throughout their Islamic rituals during the Hajj season.

The prayer rug is inspired by traditional Saudi artistic motifs from various regions of the Kingdom, notably the designs of Najdi doors, Roshan, Sadu, Al Qatt Al Asiri, and traditional plasterwork. These patterns represent the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom, giving Saudi arts a unique diversity in decorations and shapes. The rug is presented with an informational card in three languages: Arabic, English, and Urdu. This initiative aimed to introduce Saudi culture and its traditional arts to the world.

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts – WRTH is a leading institution that highlights Saudi national identity and enriches traditional Saudi arts. It represents the culture of the Kingdom by enhancing the rich and unique cultural heritage of traditional arts and related artworks, preserving their authenticity, supporting national talents and practitioners, and encouraging those interested in learning, mastering, and developing these arts.
